1/8 Wednesday WIPs
It seems like forever since I posted a Wednesday WIP progress. The holidays and end of the year stuff took up time and space. I was trying to finish a few items when I was on Winter break from work. I made significant progress on some of my WIPs, but not all.
Charity Knitting: I began a Seafarer’s Vest in December. I have separated for the front and back. Almost finished with the right shoulder of the front. I am playing a little game of yarn chicken with the project. I have one more skein available to finish. The Christmas at Sea group on Ravelry is doing a monthly MAL. For January they selected the 1898 hat. I have never knit this hat before and I am not sure I will join in this month. It seems like it might be a tad difficult and lots of counting involved. I prefer my charity knits to be less complicated and relaxing knits. I get enough challenge with my personal knitting projects.
Socks: I currently have 2 socks on the needles. I am working on the leg still for the second Advent sock. I finished the first of the pair right on Christmas day. I have restarted the Rhinebeck Roomies. I am about halfway complete of the leg of the first sock.
Sweater: I have a problem child sweater. I totally messed up the counting on the sweater. I might just be frogging and begin again. I think now that I have loaded and discovered how to use the knit companion app I can better keep track of what row and how many stitches to complete.
Cowl/Colorwork: I of course did not finish the Merry Making Cowl before the December 31st deadline for prize entries. I am on clue #11 of 12. This is a colorwork cowl so it takes a little bit longer to complete each round.
Crochet: The Garden Bee bag was set aside for almost the entire month of December. Now that I have a dedicated evening to work on the project I can see progress.
