FO Friday

All the traveling meant I have a finished object, my charity seafarer socks. In person they appear to be slightly not the same length but the one toe just wants to curl upwards and mess everything up.

Frankly that is the story of these socks. Where do I begin…I thought since the pattern called them stripey I needed to make them stripy. This was actually a pain and I think made not quite a ladder whenever I changed colors.

Next the yarn weight - the pattern called for me to cast on 64 stitches. Turns out I am much faster sock knitter with fingering weight. I do not knit very often with worsted weight yarn - too heavy.

I hope the mariner that receives these socks at least wears them once. They will most likely be the only socks I knit using this pattern. I have tried the other patterns on the website and I believe I will just stick with hats and scarves from now on.
