New Fabric Friday

Well I might not be sewing as much but I did receive new fabric. In July I ordered a few cute prints from Jensfabric.com. You preorder the fabrics and the owner has them printed in China and then months later they arrive as surprise. My first order arrived in late October.

Preordering fabric is nice if the designer/shop has unable to obtain anywhere else fabrics. It is not for the quick turn around sewer (see the 3 months wait for what I just received). This might be why they all released their Christmas selections in June. It is not a huge deal breaker for me since I rarely sew up fabric the minute it is received.

Also if you want Disney fabrics it is definitely the way to go. From following them on social media it seems the majority of their customers own custom clothing boutiques. Again, that is not me - I can barely sew anything worthwhile for myself never mind selling clothing to anyone else.

Anywoo…I actually still do not even have the complete order. Turns out China can also ship products slowly. I do like the fabrics I have received, the quality is good. I do not sew Disney so might not place too many orders in the future.

I bought the apple fabric with Snow white because i liked the panel. The Pete the Cat I ordered in swim fabric. Mostly like will be used to make a skort.
