Week 20 of YOP 14

It has gotten chillier in my neck of the woods so I can finally wear a few hand knit items. No snow but chilly for us.

Knitting Plans/Goals

November goals: Finish the charity knit helmet liner in shocking orange and a cowl to make 12 items for a year of charity knits. Add mini-skeins #19, 20 & 21 on my Anthology Throw. Cast on a new pair of socks. Divide for the sleeves on the Birthday Cake Pop sweater (this means I can do a try on to check the fit).

Update: I cast on a charity hat that I believe will be gifted to a hat drive at my local library. Just trying to use up scraps. I knit on all my projects this week and some saw actual progress!

Sewing Plans/Goals

November goal: This month I might actually sew a pair of pants I have cut out from last month but did not sew. This month will be all about some holiday sewing. I have at least 2 pairs of pjs to make and fleece hats to finish for my students.

Update: I had a very frustrating sewing experience. I spent two weekends trying to sew a collar on a dress. I sewed it wrong at least 3 times. That project has been trashed and I will be moving on. I have been burned by that indie pattern designer before and I really should learn my lesson and not buy anymore of her overly complicated, skimpy directions patterns.

Embroidery/Cross Stitch Plans/Goals

November goal: work at least 1 hour a week on the project.

Update: Oh my goodness these weeks where I change colors 7 times means I feell ike not much progress was made.

Crochet Plans/Goals

November goals: Finish the bottom section of the purse. This means I will have crocheted around 40 small plastic rings.

Update: I have all 40 rings joined and crocheted. Soon I will tackle adding rings on the sides.

Cricut Plans/Goals

November goal: Begin working on Christmas cards and construct at least 3 before the end of the month.

Update: Well…no Cricut work this week.

Misc Goals/Plans

Goal achieved as far as reading. I have read 100 books and I am still reading!
