A Sewing Fail
Well not everything I sew turns out grand. I had great hopes for the lounge pants from Greenstyle, I altered the pattern. I was concerned about the pockets. They were within the seam. I usually find these pockets to be a little troublesome in lounge or pj pants. For some reason they always hang open and just ruin the look of the pj pant. (Is that even a thing - really you just sleep in them not attend fashion shows). I find I prefer pockets placed on the outside of pj pants.
That was the first issue. Once I was almost finished and tried them on the fit in the back was just horrid. The front went where it should naturally sit, but the back was a hot mess. Then I disliked how the pattern treated the elastic waist. The elastic attachment did not help in the least. I even unpicked it all and reinserted the elastic the way I like it and still no go. I just decided to go back and rework the pj pant pattern I already have and leave these alone never to be worn or touched. Luckily I bought yards of this flannel so I can make myself another pair that might be comfortable to wear.
