Banana Cake
I had a few bananas that were starting to reach the end of goodness. I did not feel like banana bread so tried a new to me recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction. I am not sure if it is the best banana cake I have ever had since I believe this is the first one I have ever had, but it is pretty good.
Like all of the recipes on the site this uses real butter. It is what makes baked goods so delicious.
It was easy to mix. I used 2 disposable pans I had in the cupboard. The recipe calls for a 9x13 cake.
We do not need such a large cake at my house. Especially since we all will probably just eat a piece or two. I plan on taking the second pan into work. It will get devoured there no problem.
The cakes took about 40 minutes to bake and came out evenly browned. The hardest part was waiting for them to cool down to frost. The recipe calls for a cream cheese frosting - um not in this house. I dislike cream cheese and never use it. I made a vanilla buttercream frosting instead.
It is yummy and does taste like bananas. Another easy way to use up all the bananas in a bunch before they all go too soft.
