Burgers in Foil
Another recipe this week with really no recipe. It needs a pound of ground beef, potatoes, green beans, onion, aluminum foil and an oven. I cut up 4 pieces of aluminum foil. I did grease the inside of each foil packet with a little bit of olive oil. Chop up potatoes into slices and divide evenly between the 4 packets. On top of each pile of potatoes I cut up some green beans and a slice of onion. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and make into a patty. Place the patty on top of the veggies. I did place a little ranch seasoning on top of the burgers, but it is not necessary.
Seal each packet and place onto a baking sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes. I opened one after about 40 minutes and tested the meat with my meat thermometer. Once the meat has reached the correct safe temperature remove the packets.
If serving these to children an adult should unwrap the foil packet because there may be steam that escapes and also they can be a little too hot for small hands to handle. You can cook these in a campfire if you are camping.
It is a great all in one meal and kids adore this neat cooking trick. Clean up from the meal is also super quick and easy.
