Charity Cast On

Well, I was knitting along on the Forest Socks. They are fitting my foot perfectly - oops, they were supposed to be for my sister (sorry, not sorry). I needed more foot measurements from her so I had nothing to knit (oh the horror) and it was not Christmas Eve yet so I could not do a Christmas Eve cast on. Decided to start another a charity hat for the Seaman's Church Institute. I am trying to use up the scraps I have before breaking into the new yarn I bought for charity knitting. Michaels had a great sale the other week so I stocked up. I bought the Super Saver for the hats (that yarn wears like iron) and the Wool Ease in case the dickie I knit is liked by the recipient. If not it will make lovely hats.

Who said anything about a yarn diet

Anywoo here is the progress I have made on the hat in a day or so.

2x2 ribbing for the brim is completed. I plan on making this one a little stripy to finish off bits and bobs.
