Earrings
There were many reasons I wanted to purchase a Cricut Maker machine. Some reasons did not become apparent until after I purchased my machine.
One of those was making earrings - who knew you could make cute dangling earrings using your Cricut machine. After watching videos and web pages on earring making I finally got it all together and made my first pair.
I asked for an earring making kit for Christmas and my wish was granted. It arrived with all kinds of cute faux leather, hardware and tools. For my first set I used Starry Jelly sheets I found on Amazon along with Foil Iron-on from Cricut.
Where to Get Designs
Amy Romeu is a person I have been watching make earrings on youtube and I even purchased an earring course from her. All of which have been very helpful. I downloaded the SVG for the earrings from her website.
My Experience
The Cricut machine had a little difficulty cutting the jelly sheet deep enough. I instructed the machine to cut the design twice. Cutting the foil iron-on was no problem at all.
A Cricut Mini Easy Press works great to attach the foil to the jelly sheet. The Cricut cut the hole, but it really did not like that part of the design. I had to use a weeding tool to remove the hole cut.

I have never made any jewelry but I can use needle-nose pliers. I just twisted the jump ring apart- enough to attach the earring to the ring and then used the pliers to close it back up.
The earrings turned out quite sparkly. I have already saved quite a few more earring SVGs to my Cricut Access account. Look out I will be sporting some pretty fancy earrings from now on!
