Yes, this recipe calls for gasp, butter and cream - for goodness sakes it is an alfredo sauce. I still find this lighter than any alfredo sauce I have ever had in a restaurant or purchased at a store.
Also you are not supposed to have this every night of your life. It does not reheat or freeze nicely (like most cream sauces). You have to eat it all or invite friends over.
