End of August Reading Update
I really only read on my Kindle this past week. I am still recovering from the back to work blues. This does mean that I have a finish for the week: The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi. A well written book about a setting and time period that I did not have much knowledge of - I did find how everything just worked out a little too much tie with a ribbon and put a bow on it kind of ending.
Hardcover Book
Bygone Days of Nevada Schools by Flo Reed. One day I might just finish this book.
The Children of Jocasta by Natalie Haynes. Nothing like a little ancient history.
In the Midst of Winter by Isabel Allende. I have read this author before and enjoyed everyone of her novels. This does not look like it will disappoint as a great book.
Audio Book
Close to Death: A Novel by Anthony Horowitz. This is my new car driving audio book. The narrator is great and I know the story line will be very good.
The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. This is my listen while knitting audio book. A time travel fantasy book which is not a usual genre for me. I saw many friends had read it I so took the plunge. I am almost a quarter of the way through the book and so far finding it keeps my interest.
Kindle Book
Lovely War by Julie Berry. A story within a story told by Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love.
