First Full Reading Week of August
It is rare that I give less than a 4 star review on Goodreads and/or just stop reading a book entirely. Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows by Balli Kaur Jaswal got both of those distinctions. This book held very little of interest to me - the main character I did not find likeable. The title does mention erotic stories and it is not false advertising and it is not something I wanted to read. I did finish and enjoy The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters.
Hardcover Book
Bygone Days of Nevada Schools by Flo Reed. It keeps moving along.
The Fellowship of Puzzlemakers by Samuel Burr. A little mystery in the book, but I believe it mostly be about family and relationships.
Audio Book
The Mystery of the Blue Train by Agatha Christie. Just a great listen while driving book
Brooklyn by Colin Toibin. This is now my knitting audio book. Set in Ireland (currently, but I believe the setting will change) in the 1950s. It is a family saga and book about the immigrant experience.
Kindle Book
The Charity Shop Detective Agency by Peter Boland. As part of the 3 month Kindle challenge I need to read 3 Kindle Unlimited books. This came up in a search and it is reasonably entertaining so far.
The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi. This is a book selected by my city as a One Read book for the Summer. The author did make an appearance at a talk at one of the town libraries. I have only read a chapter or two but it is holding my interest.
