First of February Reading

I have 2 no good book recommendations. I tried the audio book of The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah - too much domestic violence could not get past the first few chapters (it should have come with a warning) and then I tried listening to Trust Exercise by Susan Choi. The teacher in the book is just a creep, trying to make himself feel better by putting down the students in his high school classes. It also seems to wander and I have no idea where it is going. Neither was for me.

Finished Being Henry by Henry Winkler. Parts of it were excellent but over all not a great book. Did enjoy having the author read the audio version. Also finished A Drowned Maiden's Hair by Laura Amy Schlitz. A little melodramatic - it could have sat on by TBR list for lots longer on my Kindle.

Hardcover

Road Ends by Mary Lawson. This family is truly dysfunctional. The book is character driven and told from 3 family members viewpoints. An interesting read, but not one that makes you want to stay up past your bedtime reading.

Audio Book

I Must Say by Martin Short. This audio book is read by the author - just perfect. It is very interesting, especially if you have followed his career.

Kindle Book

The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle by Matt Cain. Parts of this story are excellent - you can picture the main character. There is another character and I have yet to see how the two characters will intersect and if it will be better or worse when they do.
