It's Grommet Time

One of the bags I am slowly working on has grommets. I have never installed them but have always wanted to. You get to pound things with a rubber mallet - sign me up. I had to purchase a few items to make this dream come true.

The block of wood and rubber mallet where easily available. The first purchase was the correct size of item to punch a hole in the fabric where required and then some other interesting item. I have bene watching youtube videos and will practice a few times on scraps before I actually attach the 3 grommets needed for the bag.

I also see lots of people adding grommets to hoodies which if this succeeds you may one day see here on this blog. OF course, I first have to sew a hoodie. All in good time little grasshopper.
