January Reading

It does seem like I am off to a little slower start for the reading year. Goodreads already claims I am 4 behind on my reading goal for the year. I only have one finish for the week. I finished The Address Book: What Street Addresses Reveal About Identity, Race, Wealth and Power by Deidre Mask. Just a very fascinating book on what many might consider a duller subject. Good writing and lots of interesting facts.

Hardcover Book

The Old Drift by Namwali Serpell. I had tried reading this book last year but I had to return it to the library before I could get it started. A few readers recommended it to me so I thought I would try again. I may need to search for an audio version or at least a large print edition. The print seems tiny to me (or maybe it is the older eyes). I am going to try to read at least another 20 pages before I make a read or not decision. Hoping the story picks up very soon.

Car Audio

The Plague of Doves by Louise Erdrich. I am about 90% through this book. I have not been driving in my own car as often recently so that has limited my listening time. It is good, but could live without all the sex descriptions.
