Knitting Crochet Totals for 2022
When I enter projects on my Ravelry page I use a year tag. This allows me at the end of the year to gather some data on how much knitting and crocheting I accomplished in a year.
I completed 25 yarn projects this year. Of the 25 only 4 were crochet. I enjoy crochet but so far I find more knitting patterns than crochet that I would like to complete. To complete projects this year I have used up about 7,100 yards of yarn. I say about because when I am stash diving and using various bits and bobs I do not always have the most accurate yardage. I tend to err on the side of under counting the yardage.
The largest item I knit at 900 yards was my Finally Flagstaff poncho. The least amount of yardage (12 yards) was used in a small scrubby dishcloth I knit. The items include 1 sweater and quite a few hats. I did try knitting socks but that has not been going very well so none of my completed 2022 items were socks. One of the blogs I read suggested a good sock book which I have just purchased a new sock book. After reading the book lots of foot measurements were taken in my never ending quest to fit socks that actually fit my feet.
I currently have 2 different projects on the needles so I am well on my 2023 path of knitting. I bought more scrubby yarn and I will be crocheting that up into dishcloths for gifting.
