Late August Reads

Returning back to full time work has also caused a reading slow down. I have tried a few different books, but did not like any of them so they were quickly returned to the library.

Car Audio

American Gods by Neil Gaiman. More connections continue to be made. Around disc 15/19 I thought oh the story must be coming to an end based on the events. Then remembered still had 4 discs to go so not coming to an end. This is just a weird book, that is very difficult to describe. I am glad I am listening to it on audio - I would have put it down quite a while ago if I was reading it in a hardcover version.

The Garden of Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng. Oops, instead of listening to the book I caught up on knitting podcasts.

Hardcover

The Magician's Assistant by Ann Patchett. She is a master storyteller who writes about normal people. The story is about a recently widowed woman who discovers lots of unknown details about her late husband.
