Let them Eat Cake

I had some apple cider leftover from the holiday. I am really the only one at my house that loves a good glass of apple cider. Well the internet spies must have heard me because a new to me recipe for Apple Cider Doughnut Cake showed up on my pinterest feed.

I had all the ingredients except a yellow cake mix. I do not keep cake mixes in my pantry. I rarely use them and when i have the cakes always taste weird, too much of something, but it is not flavor.

I made my own yellow cake mix and then just proceeded with the recipe as written. I buttered my bundt pan quite generously so the cake would release without falling apart.

I did not make the dipping sauce, thought that might be a little much.
