Mid-April Reading

It was Spring break last week which meant I got lots of reading time. I finally got caught up on my reading goal of the year at least according to Goodreads. Lots of finishes this week. Ariadne by Jennifer Saint, The Maid by Nita Prose, The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles and A Line to Kill by Anthony Horowitz. You might remember I was almost at the end of the audio book when something went horribly wrong with the cds. I had to be placed on a waiting list for the actual book and it finally was delivered to me last week. Great writer and great book.

Kindle Ebook

The Guncle by Stephen Rawley, At first you might think this is going to be a light read (okay, the beginning is pretty heart wrenching, but it sets the stage). It is a book about the grief you feel after the death of someone you love.

The Chilbury Ladies Choir by Jennifer Ryan. This is quite an enjoyable read about a small village in England in 1940. They are quite close to the French coast and part of the book concerns the rescue of British and French forces from the French coastline (i.e. Operation Dynamo).

Car Audio

All the Ways We Said Goodbye by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White. This is turning out to be quite an enjoyable listen. It seems like they leave you on a cliffhanger with each character. Later they will circle back to their story.

Ipod Audio

The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. I am over 1/2 way through this book. It is interesting how all the characters are coming together.

Hardcover Book

The Temple House Vanishing by Rachel Donahue. I should have known better when I read the description on Goodreads, a gothic thriller. Oh when will I remember that I do not enjoy gothic anything.
