Mid June & Reading News

I am getting lots of reading time and lots of finishes. Everyone on This Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson - I enjoyed this one just as much as his previous book. He has a new book releasing in October that I will have to keep an eye out for in book travels. Jane Austen at Home: A Biography by Lucy Worsley. By the end I was getting a little tired of reading about how her family basically thought her writing was a cute little hobby. The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey was just an okay read for me. I continue to not be fan of post apocalyptic zombie books.

Hardcover Book

Bygone Days of Nevada Schools by Flo Reed. My DH bought this book for me on one of his travels in northern NV. It is an interesting look back at teaching in various rural schools from the 1920s and on in Northern NV.

Audio Book

The Marlow Murder Club by Robert Thorogood. I am about 1/2 way through the listen and it is a very well written mystery.

Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders. This book is just very strange - I am really here just for the excellent narrator cast.

Kindle Book

You Look Like That Girl: A Child Actor Stops Pretending and Finally Grows Up by Lisa Jakub. I was on a quest to read some of the back titles on my Kindle and this one appeared. It is actually a very well written book and not a typical celebrity tell all memoir.
