MKAL - Part 2

There will not be an unsolved mystery at the end. I did finish the cowl.

Day 7 was colorwork to make some cute little snowflakes. You can see I still need quite a few stitch counters to make sure I stay on track.

On day 8 more colorwork was completed. The design included mountain peaks.

Day 9 included more colorwork of a pattern. This cowl has certainly improved my colorwork skills.

Day 10 pattern included very small cables. Many of the details in the cowl will be more evident when it is blocked.

I loved the pattern on Day 11 - mosaic knitting. It can be a little bit of a pain knitting with 2 colrs at the same time, but the results are always worth the effort.

On day 12 I knitted 10 rows of the same ribbing from the first day and then blocked the whole cowl.

It is a very cozy and the "excess" length (some participants were unhappy at the length of the project) did not bother me. It looks fantastic as a cowl. Very warm and squishy - just what you want in a knitted object. It took me longer than 12 days to complete - I had to wait for the correct needle to arrive and work often gets in the way of crafting.

I have completed a knitting goal for the year - participate in a MKAL. It appears that many other crafts also have mystery events - I see mystery CAL (crochet along) and even SAL (stitch alongs - usually with cross stitch).
