New Cast On
I was waiting for a needle to arrive for my sister's sweater. The pile of knitting UFOs and current in progress projects just need to be quiet because I cast on a new sweater. It is actually on my YOP list so it is perfectly okay to cast on something new. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I cast on The Stormseeker Tee from Row and Kades. I am using some of my Knitcrate stash. Knitcrate was a yarn subscription service that went bankrupt soon after the end of the pandemic. I was a subscriber for quite a while so have some very nice yarns in the collection. I am using a yarn called Audine Wools Interlock. It is a sport weight of linen, tencel, nylon and cotton. The colorway is Haze.
It knits up quite nicely but also seems to have some random fiber bits that stick out every once in a while. They are not actually fiber seem more like a nylon or tencel bit. I am hoping it will wash and block nicely when completed. I have just a smidge over 700 yards so am hoping I am not playing yarn chicken.
The pattern is well written and contains a description of how to do short rows that I can actually understand and follow. I might have to hide it from my sister - she loves the shade of purple I am using.
