New Flounce Top

I had just enough of a sweet knit I picked up at Hobby Lobby to try out one of the newer Patterns for Pirates - Francis Flounce. I made the largest flounce size in the pattern )go big or go home). It is an easy sew that looks great. Perfect for hot weather.

The attachment of the bindings for the shoulders is quite ingenious. Once you have basically constructed a tank top you add the flounce.

I prehemmed the bottom of the flounce before attaching it to the shirt.

I am very happy with the sew. It weas quick and easy with a delightful result. I have already worn it a few times. It is cool and your upper arms are always covered. it is also on trend - I keep seeing a lot of flounces on ready to wear makes.
