Newest Sweatshirt

I found some of the softest sweatshirt fleece at Hobby Lobby this fall. I wanted to make another Peek-a-Boo Parker. It is a great pattern that sews together beautifully and is quite easy to complete. This time i wanted to make the pockets different from the kangaroo pockets ! put on my first version.

I went with view B on the pattern and am adding a hood.

I added rib knit for the pocket accents.

I added the side panels and top stitched them into place. Top stitching is bonus feature that will elevate any sewing project. These pockets will be perfect to warm my hands.

I then sewed it all together with rib knit for the sleeve and waist bands. It is a little longer than I imagined and actually is a more relaxed fit.

I did not want to push my luck on the neckband so attached a hood.

Can we just take a moment to admire the seam matching on the hood?

It is super warm and comfy to wear. I think the next one I could actually make a small size. This is a medium. Since it is a little longer than usual it will work great with leggings.
