Progress on a Crochet Project

What was that nonsense I wrote a few weeks ago about waiting to finish some WIPs before I began another crochet project? I already had the yarn for the Peek A Boo Cardigan by Mj's Off the Hook design/pattern. I also had made some new project bags so it was kismet that I cast something new on my hook.

This is crocheted all in one piece. You see the back and the beginning of the sleeves. It is an open weave summer weight cardigan. I think it will look fantastic over sundresses.

I also encouraged my DD to begin knitting. She has already completed 2 projects and is busy working on her third.

This is the small mat she knit for our cat to sleep on. She is turning out to be a great knitter and picked it up so fast. I might even let her raid the good yarn in my stash LOL.
