Something New on the Needles

I decided I needed a new knit on the needles. Okay, I know I have a pair of socks languishing in some severe time out but let's not digress!

I love the color green (have since I was preteen). I bought 5 skeins of a lovely bright almost kelly green from Knitcrate quite a while ago. I thought well if I start a new cardigan that will remove 5 skeins form the collection. Wishful, magical thinking.

I have cast on a cardigan sweater. We shall see. I am not crazy about a wide neck on anything. From the photos it seems like this project sweater has a wide neck. I did look at other knitters who have completed it. On some of the project pages it looks wide on others looks normal. The pattern is from Knitty magazine and the designer is Amy Gunderson. It is called Cardiflower.

I am off to a good start with the first row.
