Spring Break Reading

I am on Spring break and I am going wild and crazy with the reading! I finished This Dark Road to Mercy by Wiley Cash. A pretty dark book with lots of violence. I have read 2 or 3 books by this author and I think I will not read more. The writing is good and the characters are well developed I just find them a little too dark for my reading taste.

I also read a book on my Kindle entitled, The Love of My Life by Rosie Walsh. A quick read, but one I would not highly recommend. Just not my cup of reading tea. All this reading is making Goodreads slightly less cranky with me. I have read 13 books so far this year, I am only 6 books behind where Goodreads thinks I should be at this point in the year.

Barking Up The Wrong Tree: The Surprising Science Behind Why Everything You Know About Success Is (Mostly) Wrong by Eric Barker. I am still working on this one - other books just keep jumping the line.

Car Audio

The Change by Kirsten Miller. The author is a well known young adult feminist writer. This book is written from a feminist perspective i.e. the women characters are not doormats that get pushed aside. It has supernatural elements. Some reviewers have complained that the male characters are unfairly depicted. I am only about 10% of the way into the book. I have to say of the 2 male characters that have appeared so far I find them very accurate portrayals of men I have met in my life.
