Tidal Dress

I was able to grab up 2 yards of an ITY knit from Olga's Closet a few months ago. I tried sewing the Tidal Dress from Love Notions a few years ago. I mismeasured and the dress did not fit. It took me a while but I finally got over my mad and decided to try again. I thought the ITY would make a lovely maxi dress.

This time I measured correctly and cut out the correct size. The dress is easy to sew and makes a stunning piece. I did have a little trouble with the neckline (when have I not had trouble with a neckline - geesh!). ITY is not really made for necklines. I tried 3 times and then I just folded an allowance over and zigzagged a neckline.
