Wearing Handknits in the Wild

Quite a few months ago I posted about the All Points South (pattern by Casapinka). I was undecided at the time whether I would like the object. It photographed like a horrid knitting blob.

This picture did not make me happy about the knitting time invested. I blocked it in March and it has been nowhere near a layering piece temperature until now.

I wore the finished object today and I really like it! It was the perfect layering piece.

I took a selfie and cropped just the older lady neck out (nobody wants to see that LOL). It was comfortable and stayed put all day. It is perfect because if you are chilled you can just pull it down for greater coverage. If you are feeling warmer just lift it towards the neck and it becomes like a larger cowl.

I love wearing my handknits in the wild. It is like a secret little gift to yourself.
