2/26 Wednesday WIPs
Hard to believe we are at the end of February.
Charity Knitting: I completed the first of The Seafarer’s Stripy Socks. I have to say this is not a bring me joy knit. I am not sure if it is the terrible yarn (old acyrlic with squeaks) or knitting with worsted weight on size 5 needles. I am changing my needle length for the second one and let’s see if that restores any happiness.
Socks: I am just knitting round and round on the foot of the second Rhinebeck Roomies sock.
Sweater: I modified the sleeve length due to playing a game of yarn chicken. Also I really currently have no need of long sleeved sweaters. I did just 2 repeats of the feather and fan stitch motif. The sleeve falls to just above my elbow - perfection! Now it would not be a knit project of mine without a little drama! As I was casting off the sleeve a little voice in my head said, “Hey silly use Jenny’s stretchy bind off.” Did I listen? Of course not so I will be unpicking the bind off to try it again. All in pursuit of a bind off that does not cut off the circulation in my upper arm.
Crochet: Added round 7 to this crocheting project. Can I just say this is going to be a stunning bag!
