End of February Reading Round-Up

I finished The Secret Book of Flora Lee by Patti Callahan Henry. Just an okay book. According to the Reading bosses at Goodreads I am 5 books behind schedule to achieve my yearly goal. I think that is a little premature. I read 6 books in January but only 2 this month (so far).

Kindle

Good Dirt by Charmaine Wilkerson. I seem to have become stuck in a soap opera like book rut. This book is just as well written as her first book - it is the genre I do not like. This is a family drama, but too many secrets and love for me to really appreciate. She does do a wonderful job at addressing grief trauma and how it impacts the entire life. Not a subject that you see to often in books (at least I have not read many).

Audio Book

Eva Luna by Isabel Allende. Whew I am a 1/3 through this book and the two characters have not even meet yet. It is a good thing I teach literary elements in kindergarten. This books follows my rule for what is a main character - they appear on almost every page. I am hoping things begin to speed up a little in the story.
