Week 14 of YOP Year 14
Transferring a blog is not for the faint of heart. I not only have to learn a new platform, but wresting control of my domain name is turning out to be a beast. I was easily able to transfer my old posts from Wordpress to Squarespace. I do need to go back and look and see just how bad the formatting makes the old posts look, but that is an annoyance for another day. I can really only handle one annoying item a week and this week it is the domain name debacle.
Well it is a new month so I will have some new goals.
Knitting Plans/Goals
October goals: I would like to finish my current charity knit and a pair of socks. I believe those are both completely accomplishable in the month. As a bonus it would be nice to complete my current Franny Granny Poncho Sweater but that might be a bit much. I would like to add 2-3 mini-skeins on my Anthology Throw. I began a Stephen West shawl which looks like I could use as a blanket so that will not get finished this month. I would like to maybe get through clues #1 and 2 this month.
Update: The Saturday update showed that I have almost completed the scarf and the first of the socks in the pair. The other items are not going so well - I shall perservere.
Sewing Plans/Goals
October goal: My yearly sewing plan had pants on the docket for this month. We shall see if I could sew maybe 2 pairs this month.
Update: No pants are even cut out at this point - oops. I do have another sweatshirt dress 85% complete and a mini backpack cut out to sew.
Embroidery/Cross Stitch Plans/Goals
October goal: work at least 1 hour a week on the project.
Update: Already have 2 hours completed for this challenge.
Crochet Plans/Goals
October goals: Complete at least half of the Franny Granny Poncho Sweater
Update: All the yarns are selected to continue the project just need to get my hook moving.
Cricut Plans/Goals
October goal: I am coming to the realization that the reason I do not complete many Cricut projects is using the machine and doing the projects is very frustrating and annoying. I spend quite a bit of time, effort and materials and find I receive very little in completed projects for my time. I am hoping to maybe get 3 complete finished projects this month.
Update: Spent 2 hours cutting out items after i completed an hour of prep work. After all of that I still do not have a completed project. I did not think I picked out hard, involved projects but…
Misc Goals/Plans
Woo Hoo! I did make it to the gym three days this week. School continues to suck an inordinate amount of time completing paperwork. We are finally beginning to cool down, no more 100 degrees days forecast until next May. Only supposed to be in the 90s this week. I still have not figured out how to resize photos so currently there are way less photos than usual on posts. Hopefully I will learn how to do this soon so I can add photos insteado f just text.
