Week 19 of YOP 14
I am busy making and prepping for Thanksgiving. It is a week later than normal this year. We call this no school November because this coming week is the only full week we are in school this month. Between the election, Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving we have had many days off of school and work.
Knitting Plans/Goals
November goals: Finish the charity knit helmet liner in shocking orange and a cowl to make 12 items for a year of charity knits. Add mini-skeins #19, 20 & 21 on my Anthology Throw. Cast on a new pair of socks. Divide for the sleeves on the Birthday Cake Pop sweater (this means I can do a try on to check the fit).
Update: I finished the cowl and actually packaged the six items to send to the Seaman’s Church Institute. I wanted to make 12 items to donate to them this year and I have accomplished my goal.
Sewing Plans/Goals
November goal: This month I might actually sew a pair of pants I have cut out from last month but did not sew. This month will be all about some holiday sewing. I have at least 2 pairs of pjs to make and fleece hats to finish for my students.
Update: I am working on a lot of things, just not much that can either be shared or takes more than an hour to make. I did finish another set of sheets for our bed. They are just as nice as the first set I made.
Embroidery/Cross Stitch Plans/Goals
November goal: work at least 1 hour a week on the project.
Update: I was pleasantly surprised when I removed the piece from the hoop and saw just how much I have accomplished.
Crochet Plans/Goals
November goals: Finish the bottom section of the purse. This means I will have crocheted around 40 small plastic rings.
Update: I have crocheted at least 30 of the rings onto the bottom.
Cricut Plans/Goals
November goal: Begin working on Christmas cards and construct at least 3 before the end of the month.
Update: No Cricut this week. I actually have a card all cut out, just need to put it together.
Misc Goals/Plans
I am at 99 books on Goodreads. I currently have 3 that I am reading so I should make my goal of 100 for the year.
