14th FO Sewing of the Year

I found the most delightful sweatshirt fleece at Hobby Lobby during the Fall last year. I used a portion of it in a sweatshirt I made but knew I would want more. A few months ago I went in on a 40% off day and bought the remainder of the bolt.

The pattern I selected was the Greenstyle Alta dress. I had made one over a year ago and it is such a comfy wear. Also every time I wear the dress lots of people comment how much they like the dress. This always warms the heart of the home sewer.

This is a view of it before all the extras like a hood, cuffs and a band were added. On my first version I made welt pockets but I made a kangaroo pocket on the newest version.

Here you can see my sad attempt at styling the sleeve into said pocket.

Such a cozy make - I will love wearing this in the Fall and Winter. Of course on the day I finished it we had temperatures in the 90s.
