Angel Food Cake

My DH celebrated a birthday the other week. I made his favorite birthday cake - homemade angel food cake. It is an old family recipe. Once you make the recipe you realize that the author grew up a farm since it calls for a cup and a half of egg whites (this is usually about a dozen).

We prefer it just plain with no toppings. It is a simple but delicious cake. If you have never made an angel food cake from scratch please do find a good recipe and try it. You will not be disappointed.
