Back to School Project

Since one of the reasons (um, excuses, let's be honest) I bought a Cricut was so that I could make items for my classroom. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Occasionally I will actually use it for that purpose. A few months ago I was wandering through Target and the dollar spot. This is dangerous territory for teachers - too many cute things. Any woo I found a blank chalkboard wall piece. I scooped it up to make a class sign.

Of course I could have designed the SVG to put on the board but in Esty it was $2.00. I just bought it.

Of course I think I probably could have done a little better with the spacing, but it looks quite nice. This is the first "big" piece I have done in Cricut so proud of the effort. It will look great hanging in my classroom.

I found an online tutorial which had you painting a larger canvas with chalkboard paint. I think this works just as well and no painting involved.
