Badge Holder

I needed a new badge holder for work. My classroom theme is Pete The Cat (a book character). I had purchased some adorable faux leather with Pete the Cat from Faux Leather For You a few months ago.

Of course I could design a badge holder on my own but one of my favorite little shops was having a sale on her patterns, Sewing Seeds of Love. I purchased the pattern for a Bloom ID Tag. Bonus - I can cut it all out using my Cricut machine.

I had some clear vinyl in the fabric collection. I used it to make some little pouches and also my own sentence strip holders for the classroom.

Since I was using a directional print I had to cut pieces and sew them together. Here is the back of the holder. A perfect space for an extra card.

Another bonus to the project I was able to install an eyelet (tiny gromment).

The finished object. My school id fits inside perfectly. I have already been using it at work and I have received quite a few compliments on the cute holder. A perfect back to school project. It took less than an hour from cutting and sewing. The next ones should even be quicker.
