Chicken Stroganoff
An older blog I followed (she still has her blog available but no longer posts), Iowasue had a recipe a few years ago for Chicken Stroganoff. I have made it numerous times and my family gobbles it up each time. My DD loves beef stroganoff, but also enjoys this version.
I use the tiniest amount of flour to brown the chicken pieces. I think once I even made it without dredging the chicken in the flour mixture and it turned out just fine.
You can see the browning along with the onions and mushrooms. I always have heavy cream in my fridge, so the sauce is an easy fix.
Here it is all ready to be placed on the table for a family style dinner. If there are any leftovers it reheats quite nicely the next day for lunch.
