Beginning June Reads
Lots more time to read since I am on vacation. A few finishes this week: The Cornish Coast Murder by John Bude and Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. Both delightful enjoyable reads. Also finished Madness: The Search for Sanity in Asylum, and the Legacy of Race in Mental Health by Antonia Hylton. I cannot say this is an enjoyable read due to the subject matter, but very interesting and timely. I am glad I took the time to read.
Hardcover Book
Everyone on This Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson. The writing style of this book is one I like - a little tongue in cheek.
Audio Book
The Marlow Murder Club by Robert Thorogood. Another recommendation from a friend. I have begun the book/listen and so far so good. The main character is feisty 70 something woman.
Kindle Book
Jane Austen at Home: A Biography by Lucy Worsley. Finally after more than 50% is read we get to the publication of her novels. By the way her family sounds like a bunch of idiots.
The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey. I am not usually a post apocalyptic zombie book reader but this seemed intriguing when I saw it recommended by another reader. I am taking a chance on it
