First of July Reading
No fireworks here in the reading department, just a finish or two. In the end I did enjoy The Book of Lost and Found by Lucy Foley. It was predictable in many ways, but a good summer read. A kindle book read was The Bandit Queens by Parini Shroff. The setting is India and concerns a group of women who have husband difficulties. The book was longlisted for the Women's Prize in Fiction in 2023. Also finished A Spool of Blue Thread by Anne Tyler. This is a great summer read. It is long and just holds your interest enough. You want to keep reading, but will not stay up late into the night to race to the finish.
Hardcover Book
The Bullet that Missed by Richard Osman. I know I am going to enjoy this read. I listened to audio of the first two books in the Thursday Murder Club Mystery series. Hopefully I will like reading the actual book version.
Car Audio
Stone Blind by Natalie Haynes. I am almost finished with this audio book. The issue is not a lack of interest, but not driving very much. It is summer and I am home on a daily basis. It is also over 100 degrees every day so no one wants to get in a hot car and drive anywhere.
