FO Charity Knit

I have an FO - the Seafarer's Vest. The pattern is free on the Seaman's Church institute website. I knit this for the Christmas at Sea program.

I did modify the pattern a tiny bit. I dislike seaming in knitting. The pattern calls for the front and back to be knit separately. I knit in the round until I had to cast off for the armholes.

My original plan was to knit the body in the tan and the armholes and ribbing in the blue. Once I got to armhole bind offs I realized there was going to be a lot of fiddly bit if I was changing colors.

Designer decision to just knit all the rest in the main color.

This is the most true to life color of the completed object. I usually knit hats and scarves for this program so I am proud of myself for taking on this larger project. There is more yarn in the charity stash and i think I could knit another one.
