Halloween Decor
I had forgotten how much I enjoy filet crochet. I stopped a few years ago because there are only so many doilies a person needs before their house begins to look like a crazy person has taken over the decorating.
I found a link to the pattern Boo in Ravelry the other day. If you remember I had at least one ball of size 10 crochet cotton left over from the kitty piece I finished about a month ago.
I finished this a few nights ago and blocked it. The block is more a circular shape than an actual round piece. I probably should have traced a complete circle and laid that down on the blocking board. It looks slightly off in the picture. Those open sections are hard to block. I will probably put a decorative plate on top so that may hid a multitude of project sins.
It was a very enjoyable pattern. There was hope it would use up a significant quality of the cotton thread but I still have some left of the ball. I found a few other adorable patterns by the same designer for other holidays. They take different colors of cotton thread so that does not help my stash busting any:(
