July Report

Fresh Water for Flowers by Valerie Perrin was a delightful book to savor. The main character is flawed but perfect in her own way. The reader sees her growth and ability to keep moving through life even when it is very hard. Also finished How Not to Drown in A Glass of Water by Angie Cruz. The main character in the book is an immigrant woman from the Dominican Republic. Through the stories she tells her job counselor we discover the story of her life. I thought it was very well written and I enjoyed reading it.

Hardcover Book

For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten. This is a fantasy retelling of the Beauty and the Beast myth. I only just began the book so we shall see if it holds my interest.

Car Audio

The House Is On Fire by Rachel Beanland. I have returned this book to the library without finishing it. It seemed predictable and sad at the same time. I was just not enjoying the listen.
