Knitting progress
It was worth it to frog the sweater start and begin again. Reread the pattern and I hope I understand it better this time (famous last words).
The yarn was wound back up and cast on again. I am using a tremendous amount of stich markers to keep the pattern straight. This was a tip I picked up from another person on the project page on Ravalery.
I have begun the yoke and am about 1/4 of the way through it. I am maintaining the stitch count which is quite an accomplishment for me. Now before you get worried you will not recognize me as a knitter know that I really did not complete a full swatch before beginning the project. Never fear I have not thrown over all my lackadaisical knitting habits.
I hope to get some more knitting completed on this over the weekend. It does take concentration and there is a lot of counting involved to make sure I maintain the stitch count. This means it is not a pick it up and knit a round or two and put it done before beginning dinner pattern. It is at this stage not a mindless knit. I believe that might come when I am on sleeve island or even in the body of the sweater when it will just be row after row of stockinette.
Hopefully pride will not go before a fall on this project. Stay tuned you know there will be drama!
