Knitting Progress?
I am not sure what has happened to my knitting over the past week or so. I tend to be a monogamous knitter. I usually have at the most only 2 knitting projects on the needles at one time. Sometimes I have a knitting and crocheting project at the same time. Currently I have 3 knitting projects (and just recently i had 4 going at the same time). All the WIPs (works in progress) were making me twitchy so I did complete one of them to move them off the needles.
By the way WIPS only bother me in knitting since heavens knows I usually have quite a few sewing projects going on at the same time. Anywoo, I finished my 8th charity knit for the Seamen's Church Institute. I was able to use up a little bit of each colorway to complete the hat. My goal was to complete 12 charity knits. I did not quite achieve that but I was semi-close.
I hope the mariners like blue since that seems to be the predominate color I have for charity knitting. In the last haul I got from Michaels I did pick up other colors besides blue so maybe in the new year more colors will appear.
I have 2 socks on the needles at the moment. I cast on a new pair for my Christmas Eve cast on. The Garland sock from Lolodidit. The other sock is the soon to be frogged pair of striped forest socks that I have cast on twice and 2 times is not a charm. The first cast on was too small and now it is too big. The pattern might be well written but it is not for me.
In addition I have begun the 12 days of Knitmas Mystery MKAL (mystery knit along). I get a clue each day for the 12 days (it began on December 26th). No picture because it is a mystery knit along. It is a fingering weight cowl. I am using stash yarns from my vast sock yarn collection. We shall see if I like it. I am not much of a cowl kinda gal. It really does not get cold enough here in the desert for me to wear cowls all that often. I am sure I can find someone to gift the cowl if it turns out not to be a favorite item.
