Late October Reads

Lots of finishes this week. Forensics: What Bugs, Burns, Prints, DNA and More Tell Us About Crime by Val McDermid. It was interesting, but not a book I would want to reread. A Raging Storm by Ann Cleves. This is the 3rd in a series. The characters are starting to grow on me. This is a very new release so it will be quite a while before the next in the series is available. Dolly Parton, Songteller: My Life in Lyrics by Dolly Parton. This isa huge book and physically very heavy. It was interesting to read through and had lots of pictures.

Car Audio

Tom Lake by Ann Patchett. The book is set during the pandemic which is interesting apart from the fantastic writing.

Hardcover

The Magician's Assistant by Ann Patchett. This is back at my house, but still not being read:(

We Are the Brennans by Tracey Lange. A messy family drama. This would be a great airplane read. Not a 5 star on my rating scale, but a servicable book. This would be a good book cleanser if you just finished a heavy book.
