I finished The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert (don't recommend) I quickly read another kindle book, The Inn at Lake Devine by Elinor Lipman. I had selected it because I thought I recognized the author. Well it was not the author I had in mind, but still a good book.

Issac's Storm by Erik Larson. This book concerns the beginnings of the National Weather Service and a terrible hurricane that destroyed Galveston, TX in 1900. I know you are thinking really a history of the weather service, a real "exciting" book. Erik Larson happens to be that rare historian who can actually write an interesting book.

Car Audio

The Secret Diary of Henrick Groen 83 1/4 years Old by Henrick Groen. I am almost finished with this book. Parts of it are very sad and other parts are funny. Quite a good exploration of how it feels to age.

Ipod Audio

Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr. This book is growing on me- the characters are becoming old friends. Books that are told from multiple perspectives are best listened to by me. It removes the temptation to skip ahead to find out what happens to just one of the characters.
