New Reads in July
Biggest accomplishment in June: Finishing The Garden of Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng. The book starts out slow, VERY slow, but the writing is so good I just kept with it. Also finished The House We Grew Up In by Lisa Jewell and Anita de Monte Laughs Last by Xochitl Gonzalez. Both excellent reads on harder topics.
Hardcover Book
Bygone Days of Nevada Schools by Flo Reed. I am still dipping in and out of this one as time allows.
The Antique Hunter's Guide to Murder by C.L. Miller. Just have started on this read and loving it so far.
Audio Book
Clytemnestra by Costanza Casati. I have just begun the listen (but am already tired of hearing about how hot it is in Sparta). It is not anything like Circe by Madeline Miller and blurbs should stop comparing them.
Kindle Book
The Women by Kristen Hannah. The story of a very young woman who joins the Army nursing corp during the Vietnam War.
