New Skye Skort
Remember a few months ago when I visited a local fabric shop called Heddy Fabrics. I purchased two different swimwear fabrics in a Barbie pattern to make myself a new skort. It took a while but I finally got it finished.
Here are the shorts underneath the skirt. I always include a gusset to give just a little more comfort and ease.
I also used some of that fabric for the inside of the waistband.
Oh look at the coverstitching on the hem! This is the third Sinclair Skye Skort I have made. They are some of the most perfect makes for summer wear. I have actually near used them in a pool yet, but I keep making them from swimwear fabric.
I wore these on the last day of school. My kinder team always plans a water day for the last day of school for our littles. It is traditionally a half day of school. Keeping students who knew freedom is so close can be hard to keep focused on the last day of school. Water play and popsicles are the way to go!
Just like my other versions it turned out super cute and I was very comfortable. A bonus is I can make the skirt portion a little longer. Whenever I have tried on ready to wear skorts they are just way too short for my liking.
