New Yarn

Knitting of course has been happening - I might be just the tiniest bit obsessed with the I am Batty for Halloween socks. They ae probably the only project I have touched all week. I also had some new friends arrive and join the collection.

I have been buying each of the zodiac yarns that Freckled Whimsey has released. Her latest is Virgo.

The dyer announced the other day that the next member of the collection will hit the dye pots next week. I can't wait - it is my sign finally (Libra).

I have also been watching Knitty Natty episodes on youtube. She completed the Tennessee Yarn Crawl about a month ago. It is wonderful to see all the different yarn shops (and sadly I realize I live in a yarn shop desert. There is only one independent yarn shop in my huge city and I never visit. I have gone in the past, but find the shop uncomfortable. I feel like they are not interested in gaining me or keeping me as a customer).

She stopped at the Yarn Patch in Crossville, TN. The shop looked stunning and she highlighted some of the amazing yarns available. One of the stunners was a Cumberland Fiber Works Play in the Fireflies colorway. She showed it knit and crocheted into a project and I fell in love.
